Rough Sunday

Well it has been a really rough Sunday here.  My Cowboys pride and joy (aka; Stella) ran through a fence and cut here back leg pretty bad.  It seems like this always happens right before a rodeo.

Then later in the afternoon my little cowboys had their "3" good horses hurt their back right leg too (see the band-aids)!!!!

Like I said it has been a rough Sunday around here.

First of all I am sorry I haven't posted in a couple days.  I have had a couple very sick little cowboys.  We have had the croup, ear infections and 3 sleepless night.  I think we are finally on the mend, since last night we actually slept for "6" hours straight.

But I thought I would show you all our newest purchase!!!!

We have been needing a new trailer for a while now.  And with a great deal and sponsorship we have a very much needed new trailer.

It is pretty much exactly like our old trailer except for very much needed bunk beds for the boys!!!   It will be much more comfortable rodeoing this summer.

Big Boys!!!

Ok it is official.  My babies are in "BIG BOY BEDS"!!!  I have been putting this off for a while.  And yesterday my twins started to take their pillows and blankies out to the garage and put them on the toddler beds that I was storing.  So I broke down and cleaned them up and brought them in.   When I put the boys to bed last night they LOVED their beds and crawled right in and were asleep with in minutes.  I then cried for an hour and  told my Cowboy they are growing up to fast and we have to have another one ASAP!!!

FLOODING!!!

Ok, it is still raining here!!!!  I know I should be glad we aren't in a drought, but enough is enough already.

The county road in front of our driveway.

Our hay field.

The county road, with our place in the background.

Our driveway.

Thank god he is strong so we can get back home.  But hurry up there is more logs coming.

Our corrals.

Inside our corrals.

Our corrals,with floating railroad ties.

There goes the "BIG" stack.

Thank god for him again, or we would be stuck at the barn.

My backyard and this was taken an hour ago, and it has risen another 2 feet.

Rain, Rain Go Away!!!

Ok, since it has been windy, cold and rainy for "2" days now I haven't gotten outside with the camera.  So I am going to show you my most recent project....

I have not had a garden since the first year I  was married and that would be "10" years!!!  I don't know where the time went, but I can say that I love and cherish my Cowboy so much more today than the day we wed.  And it seems to only get better.

Isn't he cute!!!!

Ok back to the garden, my boys were so interested in Grandmas garden last summer that I thought I would give it another try.  So my Cowboy one day decides he is going to built a raised garden bed for me.  You know he suprises me everyday.   Now to explain the suprise, my Cowboy is the type who if you gave him a horse you will have a new and improved horse in 10 min.  But if you give him a hammer you never know what you will get!!!!

But like I said he suprised me and made a great raised garden bed.  I keep you all updated on how the boys and I do at gardening.  And for you experienced gardeners out there any pointers are very appreciated.  And just so you all know this photo was taken at 7am and there is FULL SUN on this spot from 9am on, I do know a little.

This little cowboy refuses to show any smiles when a camera is around.

As you can see this cowboys has no problem.

Last Night

I missed bible study last night to spend some quality time with my "cowboys".  Quality time together usually means something with cows, horses and tractors, either just one or all three.  So we ended up going to get the 4 roping cows and their calves from winter pasture. Everyone had a good time, Dad getting to ride his horse, the Boys getting to beat their sticks and Mom getting to spend time with her 3 favorite cowboys.

See why I live where I do.  It is truly God's country.

Dad getting ready to gather.  A little scruffy, but a handsome scruffy.

The boys were so excited Dad was riding "THEIR" horse Diamond!!!!

We got them home and unloaded them from the trailer, and everyone got to "WORK"!!!

First our old (17yrs) dog Shelby who can't hear!!!

Then the boys joined in with their sticks.  So between the dog barking and the boys beating the truck.....

The cows and Diamond got a great workout!!!!

But finally right at dusk Dad got the cows with their calves out to the summer pasture.  And Mom and the boys headed to bed.

Like I said before it was good quality time.

Here goes nothing!!!!

After much peer pressure I decided to start a blog.  Especially for those of you that don't facebook.  Don't get me wrong it is very tempting to not facebook, I get real tired of the quizes, farmville, cityville ect.  But Facebook always gets the best of me and I love to see what everyone is up too.  So please bear with me and  be kind since this is a new adventure.

Since the weather has finally decide to act like spring, we have been busy  making and planting our garden and fixing up the yard.  And my boys have been loving to be outside!!!  I have 2 boys that would put up with wind, rain and snow to be outside 24/7.   So when it is nice out the battles subside.

Calving and branding are over and we are getting ready to turn our cows out to pasture.  Which is always a wonderful thing since it allows My Cowboy to be around more.  We are also getting ready for "RODEO" season which officially starts the weekend of June 4th.  I am a little nervous for it this year since my "Little Cowboys" are getting so busy and curious.  Please pray for me since I don't think I am going to have the help I used too.  But on a good note we are getting a new trailer "YHEA" and everyone will have their own beds.  It will be so nice.

Well everyone that is my first post.  much love and prayers!!!!
